IES provides training in the use of its software products PROPHET and NEO.

Standard courses are available, and participants can attend a scheduled course at the IES offices, or a course on-site at the customers premises on dates as requested.
Tailored courses can also be provided.

The standard courses that are available are outlined below:

PROPHET

Course P-01: PROPHET Introduction
This one-day course provides an introduction to PROPHET—a tour of the application for new users or a refresher for those who have not used PROPHET for a while.

Course P-02: PROPHET Advanced
This half-day course for experienced PROPHET users covers the use of the Contract Builder, the Bid Builder and the use of macros in simulation runs.
(Note that similar course material is covered in the course P 04).

Course P-03: PROPHET Hydro Modelling
This half-day course for experienced PROPHET users provides an introduction to the modelling of hydro systems in PROPHET, including reservoirs, waterways, and hydro plant.

Course P-04: PROPHET Dynamic Bid Optimiser, Contract Builder, Bid Builder
This half-day course, for experienced PROPHET users with access to the optional PROPHET Dynamic Bid Optimiser module, covers the use of the Contract Builder, the Bid Builder and the Dynamic Bid Optimiser.
(Note that similar course material is covered in the course P 02).

Course P-05: PROPHET Full LP Solver and Generic Constraints
This half-day course, for experienced PROPHET users with access to the optional PROPHET Full LP Solver module, covers the use of the Full LP Solver which can be used as an alternative to the PROPHET Standard Solver. Generic Constraints and the DC load flow model are discussed.

Course P-06: PROPHET Scripting
This one-day course, for experienced PROPHET users with access to the optional PROPHET Scripting module, provides hands-on experience in script writing for PROPHET.

NEO

Course N-01: NEO Introduction
This half-day course provides an introduction to NEO—a tour of the application for new users. The course focuses on viewing data in graphical and tabular formats, exploring available report styles and processing options, and provides an introduction to creating basic reports in NEO.

Course N-02: NEO Intermediate
This half-day course provides an introduction to variable design in NEO and provides an overview of NEO’s useful utilities such as slide shows, batch runs, and report templates.
